Swaying on pop indie echoes that drop in and out of folk and rock, Iris artfully resists being boxed into a category.

Having recently completed her 2nd EP for the two part recording project Between Dreaming & Daylight, she overflows with warm sweeping harmonies backed by driving guitars, and exquisite string arrangements that wrap around haunting melodies and punchy hooks.

With a fluid live line-up, Iris allows her music to transform and be recreated with each performance, from the energetic layers of her EP’s naturally experienced in the presence of her live band - right down to her folk roots, stripping the songs back to their acoustic beginnings. Void of any production, she offers an invitation to an intimate space between artist and audience, whilst highlighting the versatility of her craft.

Following the release of Between Dreaming and Daylight - Part 1 in 2014, Iris toured New Zealand and Europe as well as back home through Sydney, regional NSW, VIC & QLD. She has featured on a string of festival lineups alongside the likes of Lior, Blue King Brown and Katie Noonan and was invited to sing a duet with US Grammy award winning songwriter, Jon Foreman on is last Australian tour.

She has won multiple awards for both her songwriting and music videos, with her 2014 debut single The Chase going on to take out three top places at the Independent Music Video Awards for Best Pop Music Video (Aus), Best Set Design (Aus) and Best Independent Music Video (Vic).

An extended creative hiatus saw Iris complete Between Dreaming and Daylight - Part 2 with the official music video for the single Vertigo released in December 2015 and the EP following in Sept 2016. Vertigo went on to win Pop Song of the Year in The Song Comp and Best Music Video under $10K at the Australian Video Producers Awards 2016.
